Nicole Blyth
Civil Celebrant
Celebrant background: My background is long and varied. Aged Care, florist, customer service of many sorts. A mum, a wife, a friend, pagan, alternative - but what you see is what you get.
Why I'm a celebrant: I became a celebrant initially because as a pagan, I was interested in ritual and ceremony of all sorts - but there wasn't a lot out there for the pagan or spiritual communities. I met two wonderful authorised pagan celebrants Buddhi Eldritch and Cassandra Carter, both of whom inspired me, and both of whom crossed over within the following 8 months.
Since being authorised in 2005, I have worked with people from all spiritualities, and no spiritualities because ceremony is about Love first and foremost.
I love my job, and have met wonder people in my time as a celebrant

Treasured memories: My first funeral - my best friend passed away suddenly after telling me I should be doing funerals. I conducted her funeral with the support of many good friends.
My first surprise wedding - A bride and groom decided to surprise their guests at a birthday party. I was introduced as the MC for the night. whereas I explained that MC stood for Marriage Celebrant.
Using thrones at Montsalvat, Circle ceremony under and Oak tree at Mont DeLancey, garden and carousel weddings in Geelong, 40 degree day in the Hills during fire season, Beach ceremonies - so many more. And none has ever been alike

Tips : Have everything you need for your paperwork before you meet with the celebrant - if you want to book them, and they will usually have a Notice of Intention to Marry with them, you can do it on the spot.
Relax! The wedding day will be beautiful because of the love of two people and that of their family and friends. It goes by very quickly and stressing out over every detail means you miss the fun.

and I'd like to say: I chose not to become a religious celebrant many years ago.
I love that people have their spirituality and for the most part we all keep that part of ourselves private. My decision is based on not wanting to be restricted by doctrine in what I could offer my clients. I am a pagan and I am a celebrant. I don't just do pagan ceremony, nor do I only have pagan clients, I provided service to people in love.
